Bass & Beat Festival
This event will consist of concerts, lectures and workshops with stars such as legendary double bass virtuoso Renaud Garcia-Fons.
This event will consist of concerts, lectures and workshops with stars such as legendary double bass virtuoso Renaud Garcia-Fons, American bassist Janek Gwizdala (who has worked, among others, with Mike Stern, Randy Brecker and Pat Metheny), Ukrainian bassist Igor Zakus and Jaromir Honzak from Czech Republic. Poland will be represented, among others, by Wojtek Pilichowski, Marcin Pendowski, Jakub Olejnik and Grzegorz Piasecki.
Participants are also invited to visit the “experiment zone” – a laboratory where musical styles from various cultures are confronted with one another. Obviously, this confrontation will be based on bass sounds.
The festival is held by the ArtAnima Artistic Agency in co-operation with the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. Concerts will take place in the New Horizons Cinema.
