Jazz on the Oder Festival

The oldest music festival in Wrocław. Held since 1964, it has been visited by many world-class artists, such as Pat Metheny, Paco de Lucia, Stan Getz, Don Cherry, Larry Coryell, McCoy Tyner, Al Di Meola or Buddy Rich.

The oldest music festival in Wrocław. Held since 1964, it has been visited by many world-class artists, such as Pat Metheny, Paco de Lucia, Stan Getz, Don Cherry, Larry Coryell, McCoy Tyner, Al Di Meola or Buddy Rich. Jazz played on the Oder has become the musical pride of the city.

The biggest stars of this year’s festival will be drummers Jeff “Tain” Watts and Kendrick Scott and saxophonists Tia Fuller and Ravi Coltrane, the latter being a son of famous John Coltrane. Apart from that, jazz fans cannot miss performances of amazing Polish jazzmen: Zbigniew Namysłowski, Leszek Możdżer, Piotr Wojtasik, as well as younger musicians: Mateusz Smoczyński or Paweł Kaczmarczyk. The last day of the festival (30th April) will be the World Day of Polish Jazz with concerts on the Plac Społeczny square and in some other places.

The festival will take place from 26th till 30th April.
