Lviv, 24 June 1937. City, architecture, modernity

The exhibition features original architectural plans, building models, photographs, archive documentaries and artworks.

The exhibition brings original architectural plans, building models, photographs, archive documentaries as well as artworks and posters that record Lviv architecture in its historical context. Lviv will be showcased as one of inter-war Poland's champions of modernity known for its thriving modernist architecture and city planning and the local Polytechnic Univeristy, whose graduates promoted latest architectural achievements.

A randomly selected date was used as the exhibition's title to bring out a quotidian perspective inherent in its design. However, the quotidian becomes a pretext to underline the unique place Lviv occupied on the modern map of the 20th century.

The exhibitions will be accompanied by an extensive catalogue in Polish and English featuring essays by researchers from Poland and Ukraine and a wide selection of illustrative material.

Tickets: 10 PLN (adults), 7 PLN (concessions).
