Centre of Culture “Zamek”
Centre of Culture “Zamek” (Centrum Kultury “Zamek”) is a city institution, which offers space for searching, finding and developing passions, it is a place of meetings and creative self-fulfilment.
The Centre is located in an exquisite place - in a monumental Baroque palace of 800 years. In spite of its historic building, CK Zamek is a modern institution open to anyone who wishes to spend their free time in a creative way.
In the offer there are plastic and ceramic arts, modern and classic dance, ballet, playing instruments: piano, guitar, and also recreational activities: yoga, pilates, aerobic. These are the propositions of the Centre, but any new idea is welcome. The offer is regularly adjusted to the cultural needs of the participants.
“Zamek” is also a place of meetings with people of culture, creative thoughts exchanges and artistic events. Various cultural projects are organised in the Centre: national fantasy enthusiasts meetings Dni Fantastyki (May), Wrocław Beer Festival (Wrocławski Festiwal Dobrego Piwa - June), St. John’s Eve with its roots in Slavic mythology (June), St. Hedwig’s Fair (Jarmark Jadwiżański - October), eco-exchanges of clothes, meetings with travellers and educational workshops for the youngest.
