World Games tickets available for sale

TWG 2017 tickets are available at www.ebilet.pl, and at sales points throughout Poland. Prices range from 5 PLN and 60 PLN. A selection of free tickets for Wrocław schoolchildren and summer play centre users will be provided.

The sales arrangements have been presented in a press conference held at Warsaw's Olympic Centre. The conference was attended by: Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism Jarosław Stawarski, Chairman of the Polish Olympic Committee Andrzej Kraśnicki, Deputy Mayor of Wrocław Wojciech Adamski and President of the World Games 2017 Marcin Przygodny. The state of preparations for the tournament has also been revealed. The conference also served as an opportunity to extend a word of thanks to the Ministry and the Polish Olympic Committee for their support in providing uniform sportswear with the Polish national emblem.

Reduced

Reduced tickets cost only half of the adult fare. Tickets for families with at least three children are also available (one child enters free of charge). Students (also half-time students, no age limit) above 60 years of age are eligible for reduced fare, while children under 6 years of age enter free of charge. Persons with disabilities are also eligible for reduced tickets. Their carers are required to pay a nominal fee of 1 PLN.

Passes

You can also buy a pass if you wish to follow any of the extended competitions. Please bear in mind that some of the extended competitions will be held in the morning and in the afternoon. This is applicable to the following: beach handball, American football (the session covering one game), bowling, finswimming, lifesaving, floorball, flying disc, karate, kick-boxing, roller skating, sport climbing and tug of war.

Climbing ambassador

A new TWG 2017 ambassador was also revealed in the Thursday conference. The World Speed Climbing Champion Marcin Dzieński was appointed to perform the role. “This is the ultimate chance for The World Games because climbing has been recognised as an Olympic sport. Climbing will be an Olympic competition in Tokyo."

10. jubilee tournament in Wrocław

The Word Games are held every four years, always a year after the summer Olympic games. The upcoming edition will be organised in Wrocław from 20–30 July. Thirty-one different competitions will be held throughout the tournament, four of which have been selected by the residents of Wrocław. Wrocław's favourite competitions include: American football, speedway, kick-boxing and indoor rowing. Three and a half thousand contestants are expected to arrive in Wrocław.
