19. SIMCHA Jewish Culture Festival
The festival brings a unique opportunity to engage with Jewish culture, find out more about its rituals, customs and artistic achievements. People of all ages are in for a variety of attractions.
The festival brings a unique opportunity to engage with Jewish culture, find out more about its rituals, customs and artistic achievements. People of all ages are in for a variety of attractions. The programme provides for a selection of concerts, lectures, cooking, dance and language (Jewish languages) workshops, discussion panels, book and magazine promotions, film screenings, exhibitions, meetings with eminent figures from the Jewish community in Wrocław, Sunday Jewish Market (4th June in the White Stork Synagogue Courtyard) and traditional features of Jewish life, including Shabbat preparations, an open Shabbat service, Shabbat dinner and the Havdalah ceremony.
The majority of the events are held at the White Stork Synagogue and the vicinity, in places important for Jewish culture in Wrocław.
