23rd International Street Art Festival BuskerBus

During the 23rd Street Art Festival BuskerBus, the Wroclaw Market Square will be crowded with musicians, dancers and circus artists from around the world

On 27th-28th August 2019, the Wroclaw Market Square will be crowded with musicians, dancers and circus artists from around the world.

BuskerBus is an interdisciplinary event aimed at promoting the street theatre and new circus and presenting a unique, varied and inspiring artistic programme suitable for the audience of every age.

The street art entertains, arouses emotions, opens spectators to new experiences, reduces the distance between the audience and culture and introduces it to urban space. During the BuskerBus festival, a few shows are performed at the same time, and the city streets turn into a colourful stage.

BuskerBus blurs the border between the audience and actors, accustoms us to culture and proves that theatre can be commonly accessible. Among invited artists from around the world there will be comicians, acrobats, jugglers, illusionists and representatives of other circus, theatre, dance and music fields. We promote diversity, skills and interesting original spectacles. The programme will include around 20 shows, and each of them will be performed a few times.

A few artists will be performing at the same time

Altogether, around 90 street shows will take place! According to the tradition of street performances, entrance to all events is free. BusketBus is a hat-based festival, which means that the main remuneration for buskers (street artists) is what they get from the audience. If you enjoy artists’ performances, we encourage you to award them with money and loud applause. Your smiles will certainly give them more energy! There are no barriers at the festival.
