Contestants in the 36th edition of the Wrocław Marathon are expected to take to the streets of Wrocław on 9 September 2018 at 9 am.
Contestants in the 36th edition of the Wrocław Marathon are expected to take to the streets of Wrocław on 9 September 2018 at 9 am. For the first time in history, the starting line will be located in the Olympic Stadium. A maximum of 6 thousand participants will be admitted to cross the starting and finish lines inside of a newly refurbished stadium.
This is the second time the capital of Lower Silesia is going to host participants in the European Masters Marathon Championships. The upcoming edition of the Wrocław Marathon is going to continue last year’s tradition in that contestants over 35 years of age who registered for an additional classification will be competing for the European Masters Marathon Championship. “The latest championships have attracted nearly 400 athletes from 20 different countries,” reveals Marcin Janiszewski, Spokesperson at the Youth Sports Centre in Wrocław.
