The International Children’s Fencing Tournament Challenge Wratislavia is the world’s biggest tournament for children under 15 years of age. This year’s tournament will have around 2,800 participants from 35 states, including Belarus, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, USA.

For five days, competitors will fight in three weapons: epee, foil and sabre in three age categories: 10-11 years, 12-13 years and 14-15 years. The tournament takes place on a top world level. The specific atmosphere of the event, sports experiences and contacts and friendships made on that occasion attract young fencers to Wroclaw in March every year.

During that tournament, they enter the world of fencing and many of them start great sporting careers. The emotions they experience - joy and tears - mobilise them to train hard even further; for some of them, the event will only be a source of wonderful memories, for others it will be the road to Olympic medals.
