Poland’s most celebrated Celtic music band are going to give yet another show in Wrocław. On 26 October, Stara Piwnica in ul Krupnicza 15 is expected to host a long Irish Evening show.

Poland’s most celebrated Celtic music band are going to give yet another show in Wrocław. On 18 October, Stara Piwnica in ul Krupnicza 15 is expected to host a long Irish Evening show. 

Come and join the crowd for a blend of Irish music, Irish whiskey and other Irish drinks.

CARRANTUOHILL have been active since 1987. They perform traditional Celtic music from Ireland and Scotland, as well as their own creations inspired by the Celtic world. The band are known to play a number of stylish instruments (violin, uilleann pipes, bouzuki, cittern, bodhran, flutes, tin whistles, accordion, mandolin, acoustic guitar) while broadening the sound with drums, keyboards and bass guitar.

CARRANTUOHILL have contributed to a number of projects in collaboration with celebrated performers. In 1997, CARRANTUOHILL joined Scotland’s The Battlefield Band during their tour around Poland. The band have also performed with Maire Breatnach, Sands Family, Deaf Shepheard, Geraldine McGowan & Friends and Midnigth Court. CARRANTUOHILL have also shared the stage with the master of uilleann pipes Liam O’Flynn and leading guitarist called Arty McGlynn. The band also shared the stage with the legend of the Irish accordion Jackie Daly at the Cork Folk Festival, while ar Finnity they performed with the celebrated Dónal Lunny and John Carty.

One of the shows by CARRANTOUHILL were also celebrated by Midge URE (ex Ultravox, the originator of LIVE AID), who put in an appearance during a show promoting their LP Inis at Warsaw’s Congress Hall.

CARRANTUOHILL have also pursued a number of collaborative projects with the following Polish artists: Anna Maria JOPEK, Anita LIPNICKA, FIOLKA Najdenowicz, Stanisław SOJKA, Paweł KUKIZ, Kuba BADACH, Robert KASPRZYCKI, Urszula DUDZIAK, Wojciech KAROLAK, Tomasz SZUKALSKI, Marek RADULI, Krzysztof ŚCIERAŃSKI, Bernard MASELI, ŚLĄSK Dance and Song Ensemble.
