Contemporary Polish Theatre Poster in Agora Culture Centre

Representing an immense variety of styles and standing out among world trends, hand-made posters have become an important element of social communication.

The exhibition is a collection of Polish posters from the years 2006-2016. This was an exceptional period in the history of the Polish poster because these were the last years of artistic activity of outstanding personalities and world-famous artists from the Polish School of Posters: Franciszek Starowiejski, Mieczysław Górowski, Andrzej Klimowski, Jan Lenica.

Representing an immense variety of styles and clearly standing out among world trends, hand-made posters have become an important element of social communication. The most intriguing posters of that period are those created for cinema and theatre. In today's world of standardised film production, film posters printed on a large scale are almost entirely frames or collages of film shots.

Open till 14th May, the exhibition is available to visitors from Monday to Friday from 9 am till 5 pm.
