Fields Of The Nephilim’s only concert in Poland will be held in Wroclaw. The legendary gothic rock band will perform at A2 Concert Centre in Wroclaw on 5th April.
The setlist will include fragments of all albums recorded by the band.
Fields of The Nephilim
An English gothic rock group founded by Carl McCoy, Gary Whisker, Tony Pettitt, Paul Wright and Nod Wright in Stevenage, England, in 1984. Shortly afterwards, the band was joined by Peter Yates and recorded its debut album Dawnrazor.
Its subsequent albums The Nephilim and Elizium rank among classic works of the genre. In 2005, after a 15-year-long hiatus, the band recorded an album Mourning Sun. In 2012, the group’s last release so far Ceromonies: Ad mortem, Ad Vitam came out.
The esoteric word ‘nefilim’, which was used in the plural three times in the Bible, most probably derives from the Hebrew verb ‘nafál’ (“fall”), which suggests that the Nephilim were fallen Angels. The fear of them led to the creation of many myths among pagan peoples that dispersed around the world after the confusion of languages at Babel.
