New Year’s Eve 2018 on Wroclaw Main Square: The Village People, a band famous for great hits such as Y.M.C.A., Go West, Macho Man or In the Navy, will perform with their show on New Year’s Eve in Wroclaw. The Village People will play live in Poland during the Wroclaw Respect event on New Year’s Eve.
The disco hit Y.M.C.A. topped American and British charts in January 1979. This song has united people from all parts of the world on dance floors for years, and its characteristic choreography is known to everyone.
40,000 DANCERS FOR THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF Y.M.C.A.
We want to gather 40,000 spectators near the City Hall to dance to a legendary hit together. This would be an unprecedented event on a European scale! A similar thing happened at the Texas stadium in the USA on New Year’s Eve exactly 10 years ago.
The Village People consists of Victor Willis (Cop/Admiral), Angel Morales (Native American), James Kwong (Construction Worker), Chad Freeman (Cowboy), Sonny Earl (G.I.) and James J.J. Lippold (Leatherman).
