The Wroclaw Opera invites spectators to a New Year’s Eve performance online
The Wroclaw Opera invites spectators to a New Year’s Eve performance online. It will be a combination of three acts from famous operas: Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, La bohème by Giacomo Puccini and The Elixir of Love by Gaetano Donizetti. The performance will be available free of charge.
After the success of November online broadcasts, which attracted 40,000 web users, the Wroclaw Opera decided to prepare another event in the form of streaming.
The performance will be broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Wroclaw Opera on New Year’s Eve, 31st December 2020. It will be re-broadcast on New Year’s Day on 1st January 2021. From 2nd January, the event will be available to spectators via paid VOD platform.
Adriana Ferfecka will sing the role of Violetta and Mimi, and Piotr Buszewski will create the characters of Alfredo, Rodolfo and Nemorino – this duo conquered the hearts of music lovers during November broadcasts of La bohème. The tenor Aleksander Zuchowicz will play the role of Gastone de Letorière. In addition, Maria Rozynek-Banaszak will play as Adina during Act Two of The Elixir of Love.
During the evening, the Wroclaw Opera Orchestra will be conducted by Bassem Akiki and Adam Banaszak.
