31st August, Zajezdnia History Centre – Rock Legends: SWEET, Dżem, Nocny Kochanek, Jelonek

Sweet have not come off the stage for more than half a century and still prove that they are one of the best concert bands in the history of rock music. On 31st August in Wroclaw, they will play together with Dżem (who celebrate their 40th anniversary this year) and favourite bands of the younger part of the audience: Nocny Kochanek and Jelonek. We invite you to plan the end of your holidays in Wroclaw!

Sweet was formed at the end of the 1960s, initially looking for its own recognisable sound. After a short romance with pop music, Sweet chose much heavier sounds, thus finding themselves in the first ranks of the glam revolution.

The Sweet have sold over 50 million records and had a huge impact on metal bands debuting in the 1980s, primarily Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe. They are commonly regarded as the godfathers of the genre, and their unique style based on buoyant pop melodies, fast solos, strong vocal parts and choruses can be heard in a vast number of contemporary rock recordings.

The Sweet have always been in their element at concerts, and we will have an opportunity to see this in Wroclaw on 31st August. After so many years, the English band still goes on stage to kick asses.
