The audience’s beloved singer Yasmin Levy will sing in Impart’s Theatre Hall at ul. Mazowiecka 17 on 24th April.

Invited to the Ethno Jazz Festival, the artist will present her latest project “Tango” containing compositions by Carlos Gardel and Astor Piazzolli that refer to the famous Argentinian dance.

Born in Jerusalem, the artist has been exposed to ladino culture and singing since the youngest age – her father (Yitzhak Levy) was a very important personage in the circle of persons protecting and doing research on Jewish-Spanish culture, the tradition of which dates back to 15th-century Spain. Until now, ladino has remained one of the most moving and romantic musical traditions in Jewish culture.

In her deep and emotional singing style, Yasmin both preserves and revives the beautiful works of the heritage of Jewish-Spanish ladino by combining them with Andalusian flamenco.
