Geolog (Geologist)
This rock and digging specialist came to Wrocław quite recently. He had previously travelled all over the world and advised mine bosses.
Geolog was born many years ago, so many that even the oldest dwarfs cannot remember his parents. However, his passion for mining indicates that he comes from a family that inhabited the oldest salt mines in Poland. Geolog himself has repeatedly suggested that he knows the Wieliczka area very well.
This dwarf has a very impressive CV. He did ground surveys for large iron mines, coal mines, as well as diamond and gemstone quarries. However, since he realised how much misery falls on diamond-rich countries, he stopped working in this sector.
He spent the 1990s as an advisor to several major oil companies: Shell, BP and Texaco. Thanks to his knowledge, new deposits of oil were found and deep-sea drilling methods were improved.
Geolog has recently retired. So he returned to his native Poland and settled in Wrocław, which enjoys the reputation of the most dwarf-friendly city all over the world. During the course of his life he has mostly worked with the Big People, so now he lives near them, somewhat avoiding the other dwarfs of Wrocław.
His vast knowledge is now used by lecturers and students of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the University of Wrocław in Cybulskiego Street. You can usually see the dwarf basking in the sun in the Institute's courtyard near the plaque commemorating its 60th anniversary.
