Kot Cafe is the first cat café in Wroclaw. It is inhabited by cats, and visitors can caress or adopt them and, most importantly, spend time in their company.

Pillows on windowsills, toys for cats, cat-trees, cartons, painted walls and, primarily, lots of cat motifs – this is what we can see in the first cat café in Wroclaw at ul. Dubois 25.  Its founder Agnieszka Gurgul has loved cats since childhood. Today she is the owner of three cats. She hit upon the idea of a cat café five years ago.

On the one hand, the place is a standard café offering various sorts of coffee and tea and cakes, as well as salty snacks, such as tarts or sandwiches. Gluten-free and lactose-free cakes, smoothies and shakes will also be on offer. On the other hand, it is a temporary home for a few cats under the care of the Cat’s Corner Foundation, where they spend 24 hours a day.

Kot Cafe is open all week round: 11 am – 8 pm from Monday to Friday and 10 am – 8 pm from Saturday to Sunday.

On most of the days, the café is open only to persons who are at least 14 years’ old. However, the owner organises the children’s day every Sunday with extra animations, games and workshops, e.g. thematic, educational or visual arts games with an animator. The offer for adults includes lectures on the adoption of cats and sessions with a cat behaviourist.
