The Natural Science Museum boasts 200 years of tradition, its collection featuring ca. 3 million different exhibits. The Museum's collection is the largest.

The Natural Science Museum was established more than 200 years ago. Featuring ca. 3 million exhibits, the Museum's collection is the largest in its kind throughout Poland.

The Natural Science Museum holds four different permanent exhibitions: Botanical, Zoological, Insects and the Human World, Bones of the Vertebrae.

Extinct species are some of the most intriguing specimens in the collection, including great auk (Pinguinus impennis), Javan lapwing (Vanellus macropterus), passenger pigeon (Ectopistes migratorius), slender-billed curlew (Numenius tenuirostris), huia (Heteralocha acutirostris), CArolina parakeet (Conuropsis carolinensis) and thylacine (Thylacinus cynocephalus).

Additionally, the following exhibits are on display: blue whale and Irish elk skeletons and an auroch skull.
