Słupniki Oławskie (Oławska-Pole-Climbers)

Data utworzenia: 2021-05-31

It is thanks to Słupniki that the Lower Silesian dwarf community knows who and when to help, or what matters require immediate dwarf intervention.

The first above-ground dwarfs appeared in Wrocław in September 2006. Each Słupnik (pole climber) weighs between 6 and 8 kg. The author of the project is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, Michał Osuch.

You can meet several of them walking along Oławska Street. Apart from observing the area and alerting against dangers, they are mainly engaged in play. Their favourite games include timed climbing and counting, e.g. how many women in hats walk down the promenade in an hour.
