Wystawa „Reality doesn’t matter. The memory does” jest wynikiem trzymiesięcznego projektu wokół szerokiego tematu tożsamości.
Wystawa „Reality doesn’t matter. The memory does” jest wynikiem trzymiesięcznego projektu wokół szerokiego tematu tożsamości. W ciągu jedenastu tygodni uczestnicy spotykali się, dzielili i uczyli się, aby tworzyć i wyrażać siebie. Rozmawiali o sprawach intymnych, ale uniwersalnych: jak stać się sobą? Co nas definiuje i na nas wpływa?
Niezależnie od tego, czy jest ona postrzegana z perspektywy ciała fizycznego, niematerialnego umysłu czy żywego doświadczenia, tożsamość ciągle się zmienia i jest trudna do uchwycenia. Sesje warsztatowe doprowadziły do powstania pięciu dzieł sztuki, a poprzez ten finałowy pokaz, który skupia prace Anny Zwolskiej, Wendy Moreno, Zariny Kamilowej, Aleksandry Gałązki i Lei Comprelle, zapraszamy do odkrywania filmów, instalacji, tekstów i obrazów oraz do zadania sobie pytania: co to znaczy być sobą?
„Reality doesn’t matter. The memory does” is the result of a three months long project around the broad theme of identity. During eleven weeks, the participants met, shared and learned in order to create and express. They talked about intimate yet universal matters: how do we become ourselves? what defines and affects us?
Whether it is seen through the perspective of the physical body, the intangible mind or the living experience, identity is ever changing and difficult to grasp. The workshop sessions led to the creation of five pieces of art, and trough this final show, which brings together the works of Anna Zwolska, Wendy Moreno, Zarina Kamilova, Aleksandra Gałązka and Lea Comprelle, we invite you to discover videos, installations, texts and paintings, and to ask yourself: what does it mean to be you?
