Dire Straits Symphonic Orchestra at NFM

The Dire Straits Symphonic Orchestra project is all about the symphonic sound developed by their leaders Krzysztof Herdzin (conductor and arranger), Kuba Badach (vocals) and Marek Napiórkowski (guitar). The orchestra is accompanied by Polish jazz musicians such as Robert Kubiszyn (bass guitar), Tomasz Kałwak (piano), Paweł Dobrowolski (drums).
Kuba Badach
He has won the Fryderyk 2011 and 2012 for the Male Singer of the Year. Badach is the leader of Poluzjanci, the author the sol LP “Tribute to Andrzej Zaucha” and a member of the quasi-jazz band The Globetrotters. He has collaborated with a number of Polish pop musicians, including Kayah, Robert Janson, Ania Szarmach, Dorota Miśkiewicz and Carrantuohill.
Marek Napiórkowski
He is one of the leading Polish guitarists and composers. Throughout his successful career, Napiórkowski has developed his versatile and yet signature style.
Krzysztof Herdzin
He is a pianist, composer, arranger, conductor, music producer, multi-instrumentalist and a scholar. Herdzin orchestrated Jan. A.P. Kaczmarek’s score to the Oscar-winning “Fiding Neverland” in 2005.
