The Sakwowy Bastion is a historic defensive structure that was part of the former fortifications of Wroclaw. Today it is a popular place for walking and relaxation. It looks beautiful at night, when it is illuminated. From the top you can enjoy the view of the City Moat. There is also a café and restaurant in the complex.
The final site acceptance was completed on May 27, 2024. The official opening was held on Saturday, June 8. Residents were able to see what the Sakwowy Bastion looks like after the revitalization.
What can you find on the former Partisan Hill (Wzgórze Partyzantów)?
After many years, Partisan Hill (Wzgórze Partyzantów) has regained its former splendor, and with it the scenic, cultural and gastronomic function of the Sakwowy Bastion in Wroclaw has returned. The facility has launched a café in the underground part of the colonnade, where, in addition to coffee and cake, cultural events such as concerts, exhibitions and author meetings are held.
A restaurant has also been opened in part of the peristyle pavilion – where the Wroclaw Redoubt was formerly located. In addition, in the arcade of the colonnade, on the terrace, a gastronomic garden with a vantage point overlooking Wroclaw awaits residents.
