The Botanical Garden has the rank of a separate institute of the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the University of Wroclaw, with the Natural Museum functioning within its structures, and the garden itself was registered as a historical monument.
Situated right near Ostrów Tumski, it is a popular place for walks and recreation.
During the year, the Botanical Garden is the venue of many events, such as Majówki Tumskie, the Wroclaw Magnolia finals or the Festival of Pumpkins; apart from that, concerts and open-air events for children and meetings for gardening enthusiasts are held here.
The garden is open every day from 1st April till 31st October (also on holidays).
Opening hours of ticket offices:
- in April: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- from May to August: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- in September: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- in October: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Opening hours of greenhouses and aquariums: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
