The Christmas Market in Wroclaw is one of the most beautiful of its kind in Poland. During this special time of the year, the heart of Wroclaw starts beating faster... Wroclaw’s Market Square becomes the background for a fairytale scenery. Among forest-smelling Christmas trees and the aroma of mulled wine and chocolate gingerbreads, the participants of Wroclaw and tourists can expect a wealth of Christmas surprises and attractions. The magic of Christmas will charm everyone...

Attractions on Plac Solny

A number of attractions will appear on Plac Solny, including a three-level fairytale house with an observation deck and a small tower with an illuminated clock. In this house, you can warm up in the glow of the fireplace, drink hot beverages and have a pleasant time in the festive fairytale space, admiring the panorama of the Christmas Market from a different perspective.

This unusual attraction will be available only during the Christmas Market and its beauty will charm everyone. Plac Solny will become a magical magnet attracting and inviting us to the centre of the Christmas culinary and entertainment space, where we will feel the unique atmosphere of Christmas.

The visitors of the Christmas Market will be able to see the “Gallery of Santa Claus” on Plac Solny for the first time – the fairytale Christmas decoration of this attraction will encourage everybody to visit its unique interior. It is a must-see.

Near the “Gallery of Saint Claus” we will find a special place which has successfully operated on Plac Solny for a few months. Hidden in the underground of Plac Solny, the Movie Gate – Gallery of Film Art will move us to the magical world of film, science and history.

This exceptional exhibition consisting of original costumes and props from the biggest productions of international cinema will enable you to dive into a world that has only been available on the big screens so far. During the Christmas Market, there will be interactive “Shows of the Helpers of Crazy Santa Claus” in Movie Gate.

Christmas attractions in a fabulous atmosphere

In the Fairytale Copse, beautiful fairy tales will await the youngest guests of the Christmas Market. Their magical visualisation and sound will lead all toddlers into a real fairytale world. “Little Red Riding Hood”, “The Brave Little Tailor”, “Snow White” or “Pinokio” are only a part of this amazing adventure.

Next to the one-floor Dwarf’s House guarded by lamplighter dwarves, the Dwarf’s Mushroom will appear – it will be possible to go inside and take an awesome commemorative picture. There will also be the Fireplace House with outdoor fireplaces, where you can warm yourself by the real fire and a glass of aromatic mulled wine. Traditionally, the Gate of the Christmas Market will greet all guests at ul. Świdnicka and introduce a magical Christmas atmosphere.

The magic of Christmas on Wroclaw’s Market Square

Artistic events will also introduce us to the magical Christmas atmosphere. This cycle of unusual events will start on Sunday 2nd December. The visitors of the Christmas Market will see a magical show “Christmas Magic in Fairy Tales”. Already on 6th December, the festive greeting of Santa Claus and the official illumination of the Wroclaw Christmas tree will take place.

From 6th till 16th December, the stage of the Christmas Market will be open, where you can see artistic performances of the youngest kids and Christmas concerts held in co-operation with the Wroclaw Centre for Social Development. On 9th December, the traditional Christmas parade with Santa Claus will take place and have its finale on the stage.  On 16th December, Wroclaw elves will lead a parade on the Market Square.

The cycle of shows will end with the “Christmas Carol Singers Parade” on 23rd December. On 24th December, next to the Christmas tree on Wroclaw’s Market Square, a Christmas Eve supper for the lonely and the needy organised by the City of Wroclaw will take place.
