Joyful Independence Day
Independence Day in Wrocław. A parade, concerts and previews.
For more than ten years now, the residents of Wrocław have been taking their whole families on 11th November to meet in the city centre in order to render a tribute to the heroes of the Polish struggle for independence and to join Joyful Independence Parade.
A communal parade is but one of many attractions to celebrate Independence Day, including a scouting camp in pl. Wolności, a preview of the exhibition by the winners of visual arts competitions for children and young people at Garrison Church as well as concerts by both secondary school students and the Lower Silesia Police Headquarters Orchestra. All events in the programme are free of charge.

- concert by the students of Agnieszka Osiecka Secondary School No. 17 in Wrocław: “What to Do with Our Freedom?” based on Jan Pietrzak's songs
- scouting camp by the Scouting Association of the Republic of Poland (a field kitchen, plays and games)
