See Wroclaw from a different perspective from behind the glass of the historic tram? Tourists and inhabitants of Wroclaw will have this opportunity during the entire summer period from July till September.
MPK Wroclaw starts a special tourist tram line. Responding to the demand for such attractions, the carrier wants to introduce a reminder of the rich history of the company to city streets. The line will be served by a historic utility vehicle with the charming name Gustaw, Konstal tramcar ‘N’ manufactured in 1950.
Every Saturday and Sunday from 30th June till 30th September (and also on Wednesday 15th August) Gustaw will take its passengers on a trip around the most attractive areas and facilities of Wroclaw, such as the Zoo, the Centennial Hall, Ostrów Tumski, Plac Dominikański, Plac Teatralny, Plac Kościuszki, Piaskowy Bridge or Młyńskie Bridges.
The line will operate from 11:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. Detailed timetables will be available on tram stops along the route. In order to take a ride, you have to buy a single paper ticket according to normal tariff rates (3.40 PLN – a full-price ticket, 1.70 PLN – a half-price ticket) in a newsagent’s, from stationary ticket machines or from the driver on the spot.
Urbancards and tickets purchased in mobile applications will also be accepted. Outside days and hours of operation of the Gustaw tramcar, it will be possible to rent the vehicle according to commercial rules both on one of the proposed routes and in response to the ordering person’s individual demand.
