On Saturday 1st April, the Botanical Garden of the University of Wrocław invites visitors after the window break. You can take a walk and enjoy the sight of the first spring plants.
At this time of the year, we can admire beautiful rock garden hills with a number of plants wonderfully blooming in the sun: the pheasant’s eye, pasque flowers, the white-blue pushkinia from Caucasus (a beautiful rarity), the charming yellow hacquetia epipactis, and primulae (as in an educational institution, we can find also their rare species).
Beside one of the alleys (near the children’s playground), we can find interesting and extremely rare species of the willow with pussies that cannot be encountered in our gardens. The blooming of corylopsis shrubs, including the winter hazel with a beautiful aroma, has already begun and will soon start in the case of magnolia flowers and early rhododendrons.
As usual, the new season in the Botanical Garden will bring many interesting events, fairs and walks with a specialist.
Opening hours
- The garden is open from 1st April till 12th November (including holidays) every day. Cash-offices are open from 8:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m.
- From May till August, the garden is available to visitors till 8:00 p.m., whereas during other months it is open till 7:00 p.m.
- After 6:00 p.m., you can leave the garden through the southern gate from ul. Kanonii.
- Greenhouses and the exhibition of the Panorama of Nature are open from 10:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m.
- In November, only the open area without the greenhouse and the Panorama of Nature is available.
Tickets: full price – 15 PLN, reduced price – 5 PLN (schoolchildren)
