Friday in the Old Town Garden
The dwarf procession left from under the Pillory at 10 a.m. on Friday and headed to the Old Town Garden.
On the first day of the festival, the dwarves set up three play zones in the garden:
- Dwarf Zoo Zone – the education department of the Wroclaw zoo: “you will learn how to act on a daily basis to protect animals, especially all endangered species.”
- Dwarf Great Games, or games for small and large dwarves.
- Dwarf Koszalka-Opałka Zone – blocks, wheelbarrows, concrete mixers, dump trucks.
Special Screenings:
- A fairy tale with Wroclaw dwarves-muppets by graduates of Wroclaw’s PWST
a show of Jas the dwarf, or family theater.
- Additional attraction: a birthday dwarf streetcar that will run on Friday from 10 am to 1 pm, starting from the Opera stop.
Saturday in the great village of the dwarfs
On that day, the dwarves set up a village in the Old Town Garden (from 11am to 5pm) with fairy tales and artistic displays.
Attractions:
- Dwarf Jas’s show – a combination of family theater with clowning and circus arts;
- Dwarf Zoo Zone – you will learn about ecological animal conservation efforts;
- Outdoor Eco Workshops – there will be eco-friendly souvenirs of the festival to make, such as hats, gloves and bracelets (old T-shirts, fabric scraps, holey socks will come in handy);
- Dwarf City – building with thousands of blocks;
- Dwarf Game Zone – giant board games;
- Family city game “Birthday of the Dwarf Festivalius” (registration at dwarves.com);
- Chillout Zone – Small Stage of the Dwarf Festival: mini-cinema with live music – fairy tales for the youngest accompanied by a multi-instrumentalist; Impro mini-performances – be not only spectators, but also creators of the show; Dwarf Laughter Yoga;
- Dwarf Summer Cinema – a special screening of an animated film for children; fairy tale reading – Wroclaw actors from the Capitol Music Theater will read fairy tales to you.
- Dwarf Silent Disco for adult dwarves from 9 pm evenly until midnight.
Saturday also at Mediateka
At the city library in Theater Square, the dwarves played a board game tournament for the Dwarf Cup between 11 am and 2:30 pm – the edition for younger participants
In addition, a festival electric train will run on the Old Town Promenade from 11 am to 5 pm.
