On Friday and Saturday (September 12 and 13) we invited all children to the Old Town Garden for a unique event full of fun, creativity and dwarf magic! We prepared many surprises in the program, which made each participant feel like a fairy tale character.

The Summer Stage of the Wroclaw Puppet Theater transported the audience to a magical world full of adventure, humor and dwarves!

On Friday (September 12), the actress took the audience to a world full of humor, emotions and magical stories, combining theater, narration and interaction with the audience.

On Saturday (September 13 at 17:00) we experienced unforgettable moments with the greatest children’s hits that have been entertaining and delighting successive generations for years! It was a unique opportunity to see the artist in action and spend time full of smiles.

Great Wroclaw Dwarf Parade

The Grand Dwarf Parade was one of the highlights of the festival. The colorful parade included stilt walkers, drummers and majorettes. They led the parade from under the Pillory in the Wroclaw Market Square straight to the Old Town Garden.

  • Great art contest for elementary schools and kindergartens for the most beautifully decorated dwarf hut! There were special white cardboard houses for participants to decorate on their own – each group could give their project a unique character. The most beautiful and imaginative works were awarded!
  • A competition for the best dressed-up dwarf group of kindergarten or elementary school students. We encouraged all groups that visited the Old Town Garden on this day to come in colorful, fairy-tale costumes of dwarves. It was a great opportunity to feel the magic of the dwarf world together, demonstrate ingenuity and have fun! Details of the contests can be found in the attached regulations.
  • Special guest of the day was Edyta Jungowska – actress and extraordinary artist, whose performances delight children and adults alike! During the event, our guest took the audience to a world full of humor, emotions and magical stories, combining theater, narration and interaction with the audience.
  • On the Summer Stage of the Wroclaw Puppet Theater we saw dwarf fairy tales, which transported the audience to a magical world full of adventure, humor and dwarves!
  • The program will also include a magic-circus performance and an interactive concert.

Special free courses on the historic dwarf streetcar (Opera streetcar stop).

This is a great opportunity to see the city from a slightly different perspective, but also great fun for all participants. The streetcar stops at the Opera House stop, from where passengers can comfortably begin the ride. It is a unique experience that combines history, local tradition and a fantastic dwarf atmosphere, making every passenger feel like they are in a fairy tale.

Old Town Garden, Summer Stage of Wroclaw Puppet Theater

On this day we all become dwarves and traditionally come together to celebrate the most important day of the year! The program includes:

  • On the Summer Stage of the Wroclaw Puppet Theater we saw the premiere fairy tales about Wroclaw’s dwarves. Discover with us the enchanted world where Wroclaw’s dwarves come to life in fairy tales! We also watched acrobatic performances and a show by a dwarf magician.
  • Majka Jeżowska concert (at 17:00) – a musical journey full of joy! Unforgettable moments with the greatest children’s hits, which for years have entertained and delighted successive generations! Majka Jeżowska on stage is a guarantee of great fun, dancing and singing together. This is a unique opportunity to feel the magic of live music with the whole family, see the artist in action and spend time full of smiles, energy and unforgettable emotions.
  • A concert by Basia Piotrowska, a Wroclaw-based artist, singer and author of music for children, who will lead the youngest in an unforgettable musical adventure. The repertoire will include both her original songs and well-known, well-loved songs from fairy tales, which will delight and amuse the whole family.
  • Dwarf City Zone – a unique place where everyone will find something for themselves! A gigastrefa of games awaits you, where the youngest participants will face off in exciting competitions and challenges. We also invite you to the dwarf playground, where joyful games and creative activities will introduce everyone to the magical world of Wroclaw’s dwarves. For the youngest, we have prepared a special zone full of attractions tailored to their needs, where they can safely explore and experiment with the dwarves!

Urban Game in the Old Town Garden

Take part in an open city game and discover Wroclaw full of dwarves and hidden surprises! During the game, participants will follow in the footsteps of Wroclaw’s dwarves, solve puzzles and discover clues. This is a great opportunity to combine active walking, learning about the city and creative adventure in one event full of surprises!

Old Town Garden, Multimedia Stage

Dwarf Fairy Tale Zone – the magic of literature and theater. A unique zone where Wroclaw actors of the Capitol Musical Theater brought to life the most beautiful fairy tales for children. Retro fairy tales with live music – a show of fairy tales accompanied by a multi-instrumentalist.

Impro mini-spectacles are a unique opportunity for children not only to observe, but also to influence the course of the story, invent the adventures of the characters and decide the twists and turns of the plot. Each performance is a combination of theater, creativity and laughter, which develops imagination, encourages cooperation and introduces participants to a world full of
fantasies.

Outdoor mini-cinema – a special screening of an animated film for children. Zumba for children is not only dancing, but also an excellent opportunity to develop coordination, rhythm and creativity, and above all to spend time together in a friendly, joyful atmosphere.

We were invited aboard a unique festival electric train and had an unforgettable adventure straight out of a fairy tale about dwarves.

For elementary school and kindergartens

As befits a true dwarf team, we had to look truly magical! That's why we encouraged kids from kindergartens and elementary schools to dress up as dwarves to get even more of a feel for this special atmosphere. Details of the competition can be found in the attached regulations.

Participation in the competition did not require prior enrollment.

We announced the Great art contest! A true legend among our events - cardboard houses were waiting for you, and you had to decorate them! Imagination knew no bounds - you created, painted, decorated as colorfully as possible!
