57th Jazz on the Oder 2021
The 57th Jazz on the Oder will start on 15th September and will last five days.
The date of the 57th Jazz on the Oder Festival has been set. We also know who will perform at the beginning of the festival and that the event should artistically bring full satisfaction to their fans. It will encompass a series of concerts, performances of finalists of the Jazz Individuality 2020 competition, a night-long jam session and accompanying events.
The 57th Jazz on the Oder will start on 15th September and will last five days.
‘After the demanding year 2020, we are getting back on track. We are hopefully looking forward to the future in which the whole planned program can take place, so we decided to change the date. In Wroclaw, the end of April was reserved for the great holiday of jazz music for some time, but we agree with artists and their agencies – we still know too little about the possibilities of the concert industry in the spring period. We do not want to put all involved parties, including our audience, to the risk of experiencing further postponements of the date. Jazz on the Oder means musicians on stage and full house, and we are ready to wait for this version of the festival until September,’ declares Krzysztof Maj, the general director of the Wroclaw Culture Zone.
This year's festival will be opened by a performance of Marcin Pater Trio – the winner of Grand Prix in the Jazz Individuality 2020 competition.
