On 7th January, the planned renovation of the Centennial Hall in Wroclaw will start. The venue will be closed for at least two months. The only functioning part of the hall complex will be the Wroclaw Congress Centre.

According to the schedule of works, the renovation of the historic Centennial Hall will start on 7th January and should not last longer than 7 months.

During the entire renovation period, fairs, concerts, sports events and other events will not be held in the Centennial Hall. In January and February 2019, the Cognitive Centre of the Centennial Hall will also remove its activities, souvenir shop and ticket offices to the WCC. As long as the Hall is closed, tourists will be provided with other opportunities to learn the history of the only UNESCO site in Wroclaw.

‘The hall will certainly be closed in January and February, and its functioning in further months depends on the progress of works. Of course, we will try to make certain areas available and to restore the possibility of sightseeing the Cognitive Centre as quickly as possible,’ says Iwona Jarosz from the Marketing Department of the company.

The Centennial Hall will have a new modernised floor that will make it possible to organise events requiring a considerably bigger workload than previously. Its replacement costs 6.5 million PLN.

During the renovation period, the only functioning part of the hall complex will be the Wroclaw Congress Centre.
